Newport Beach, CA
This home was built in the 1950's, and overlooks the ocean and Fashion Island, but the views to the water were severely restricted by many interior walls. The owner, a pediatrician, wanted to remove the walls of the kitchen, the family and living rooms so there would be completely unobstructed views to the water.
Los Alamitos, CA
A cabinetmaker asked that we remodel the kitchen of his modest one story tract home. The existing kitchen was completely separated from the living room by a wall containing a single door.
Wailua, Maui HI
This Elua Village condominium is in one of the older low-rise Maui developments and sits directly on the beach in Wailea, Maui. While a spacious 1700 square feet, the kitchen was very small with no view to the ocean and both bathrooms needed to be completely remodeled.
Coto de Caza, CA
While this existing house was large and relatively new, the kitchen was poorly located and quite small. The owners have three small children and they wanted a large kitchen with a dining table built into the kitchen island so the family could all sit down together. Also importantly, they wanted to be able to have complete views of the backyard play area and the swimming pool.
